At Edison Electric, we prioritize a culture of mutual respect. There is a lot of trust between employees, leads, and company heads, with no unwarranted hierarchy.
Edison is a place to step up your licensing. As a licensed Washington electrical contractor, we act as a bridge, taking in newer electricians and helping them get licenses they want. We like to build relationships with our employees, and make a huge effort to ensure that our company is a place they want to be. That has led to a huge retention rate.
Even so, we do not penalize employees for wanting to branch out, and are usually willing to accept people back if they decide to return. Many do.
Merit Based Pay
Our pay is performance based and competitive, merit-based rather than rigid. We make sure employees are paid what they deserve based on work ethic, experience, and longevity.
Step Up Your License
We take in newer electricians and help them get the licenses they want, from Residential Trainee through EL01.
A Foreman on Every Site
Six lead foremen, most with over a decade at Edison. You learn from people who have done it before.
Come Back Anytime
We do not penalize employees for wanting to branch out, and are usually willing to accept people back if they decide to return. Many do.
Washington Apprenticeship Requirements
How do we work with the Washington Electrician Apprenticeship requirements?
Podium work requires an EL01 license or active enrollment in a program such as CITC. Here is how we navigate these programs.
ENROLL
Residential Trainees
We hire Residential Trainees to work in garden-style/residential projects and can coordinate enrollment in apprenticeship programs simultaneously.
SUPPORT
Residential Electricians (EL02)
We hire Residential Electricians E02s and support them while they work in the field and in the classroom to gain their EL01 card.
